Teams can be annoying to fix, especially when the Outlook add-in is completely missing and you can’t schedule Teams meetings from Outlook at all.

If the add-in does not appear anywhere in Outlook, the fastest fix is to manually reinstall it using the Teams Meeting Add-in installer.

When to Use This Fix

Use this method if:

• The Teams Meeting button is missing in Outlook
• The add-in does not appear under Outlook COM Add-ins
• Repairing Office did not bring it back

Step 1: Close Outlook and Teams

Before running the installer:

• Fully close Outlook
• Quit Microsoft Teams (system tray → Quit)

Step 2: Extrat and run the Teams Add-In Installer MSI

1. Launch the Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-In for Microsoft Office installer (.MSI) listed above in the zip file.

2. Click Next on the setup wizard

   

3. Leave the install location as default
